Whenever I install the software package of HP J4580, Windows XP always hangs for about two minutes to log in a user. This is quite annoying so that an average user would rather avoid shutting down the Windows than wait for another long time booting. Does it aggravate the green house effects? It's a no-brainer that HP's SQA and its customer support are to blame for neither early discovering nor addressing consumers' troubles for years.
Though many customers leave complaints on the HP's official forums, there seems no official solutions yet. Fortunately, with the efforts by some users of perseverance, a expedient is proposed by Grisham.
Another way to get rid of the problem is to install and use these printers on Linux with HPLIP which works more efficiently than its corresponding Windows software package. Most popular Linux distributions such as ubuntu and Fedora have built it in. However, receiving fax to computers is only supported on Windows currently. The best solutions of both worlds is still unavailable.
