Dropbox for Android v2.4.3.2 is broken
This version introduces a built-in document viewer to preview files like PDFs. However, it causes the synchronization from the device side not to work. Since the preview cannot highlight text of a pdf, the user needs to open with an external pdf viewer as before to modify and save the file. Here are the problems. First, when saving, the external viewer does not get the path to save and asks the user to select the folder, which is a pain because the physical path stored by Dropbox is not trivial to locate in the filesystem. Second, even the user saves the file to the right path (com.dropbox.android/scratch/...), the Dropbox app does NOT detect the changes and start synchronization! This is even a pain in the ass. The workaround is to uninstall the version and fall back to v2.4.2 immediately. Smart users should find where to download. Good luck.
