Healthy Appreciation

Someone just asked me to elaborate the quote in the blog description.
WANDERING BETWEEN SIN AND DISCIPLINE,
WHAT I CAN DO IS MERELY TO LOOK AROUND AND LINGER ON IN VANITY FAIR.

                      --- FOREVER AND EVER
According to the Bible, men are born with sin and tend to fall. On the other hand, discipline is enforced through laws and education for men to resist the desire to sin. That's the world we live in. I don't mean to judge or change something, simply taking it easy and staying externally or internally in the vanity fair until the end of the world.

Pretty Christian, huh? Well, not really. I'll tell you what.

In Taiwan, Taoism dominates, teaching people to harmonize with the nature while Buddhism enlightens us to achieve inner peace without reliance on any external entity. In the US, there are more Christians than ever enthusiastically telling me stories in the Bible. As an agnostic, I never deny the positive meanings conveyed in the religions but barely sit with healthy appreciation of everything in a position beyond faith and disbelief.
